Choosing the right machine for the job

Three questions decide which lift you need: how high you need to go, whether you need to reach out sideways, and what surface the machine will stand on. Below are typical jobs and the equipment that handles them.

Facade work

Cladding, glazing, joint sealing, facade cleaning and repairs.

Suitable: Telescopic boom lifts (height and outreach), articulating boom lifts when there are obstacles in front of the facade, spider lifts for narrow courtyards and lawns.

Warehouses and industry

Maintaining racking, lighting, ventilation and overhead cranes; installing equipment; work in plants and shopping centres.

Suitable: Electric scissor lifts, vertical mast lifts, electric articulating boom lifts. No exhaust fumes, non-marking tyres.

Oil, gas and energy

Maintenance of tanks, pipelines, pipe racks, substations and towers.

Suitable: Diesel telescopic and articulating boom lifts with long outreach. Site-specific requirements are agreed separately.

Ports and shipyards

Hull work, maintenance of portal cranes, warehouses and terminals.

Suitable: Long-reach telescopic boom lifts, rough-terrain scissor lifts.
